Guide
Plant care tracker: do not water twice, and do not forget to water.
Shared plant care has two opposite failure modes. Keep the latest real watering or fertilizing visible so the next person knows what already happened.
The same missing status can overwater or neglect a plant
One person waters in the morning and another waters again because they did not know. Or everybody assumes somebody else handled it and the plant gets nothing.
For shared plant care, the most useful question is often simply: when was this plant actually cared for last?
Water plants
The plants were watered yesterday, so another household member can see that the recurring care was already handled.
Watering and fertilizing need different histories
Watering may happen every few days while fertilizing happens much less often. Keeping them as separate recurring tasks prevents one completion from hiding the other schedule.
The same shared record is useful when somebody else cares for the plants while the household is travelling.
